Name and description of the hiring department:

The Business Data Provisioning & Assurance Automation team is looking for a dynamic
programmer who is interested in working in a challenging and fast-paced environment. The job requires an individual who is open to change, has strong business acumen and is results-oriented. As such, the candidate must be able to manage change while working efficiently in a collaborative environment with different teams. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of all databases implemented by the team (structure and content), for designing, developing and testing internal applications, and for supporting information system operations for our community of users. The chosen candidate must have a large knowledge of SQL databases, and programming skills.

Job Duties / Accountabilities:

  • Build and design new web applications in an effort to make Field Services more efficient and productive
  • Analyze and evaluate the requirements for new and existing tools
  • With minimal guidance, gather and analyze information from various sources to ensure its integrity, and resolve any anomalies
  • Use Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 to maintain source code and perform code review
  • Offer support to web application & tool users by diagnosing, isolating, and de-bugging problems with existing applications
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities in existing applications in order to achieve optimal results while ensuring accuracy and adhering to tight deadlines
  • Create and modify reports/queries based on internal customer requirements
  • Develop and maintain reference documents for internal customers
  • Work closely with the manager in charge of the team, and with all managers within our organization and Field Services
  • Communicate verbally or in writing with Business Data Provisioning & Assurance technicians and managers, as well as with any other parties involved

Essential Qualifications / Competencies:

  • Intermediate knowledge of Object Oriented Programming using C#, VBA
  • Intermediate knowledge of SQL Server (SQL queries, Stored procedures, Data management)
  • Intermediate knowledge of development using .NET framework 4.0 and above, MVC and Entity Framework
  • Intermediate knowledge of visual studio 2015 (or above)

Preferred Qualifications / Competencies:

  • Experience with RPA development and delivery, preferably with Blue Prism
  • Computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL Server and Oracle ERP
  • Experience in object-oriented programming (C#, VB, Java)
  • Basic knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS
  • Knowledge in developing and consuming APIs
  • Bilingualism (English and French)

Working Conditions:

  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday with a work period between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm

Please note that a test will be administered.

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
